EXPLANATION OF OUR FERTILISATION RECOMMENDATION METHOD ON OILSEED RAPE

Variably apply Nitrogen on homogeneous oilseed rape enables to get more yield.

EXTREMES EXAMPLES OF THE METHOD

A well developed oilseed rape crop has already absorbed a lot of Nitrogen before the winter. Its need for extra Nitrogen application is therefore limited at the end of winter when growing again.
A little developed oilseed rape crop will have to develop a lot at the end of winter. Therefore its need for Nitrogen is high in order to achieve its yield potential.

EXAMPLE OF RECOMMENDATION MAP ON AN HOMOGENEOUS OILSEED RAPE FIELD

A little developed crop

This oilseed rape crop has grown little due to dry conditions in the autumn.

Biomass beginning winter: 0,5 kg/m² – Biomass end winter: 0,5 kg/m²

+175 €/HA MARGIN INCREASE

A well developed crop

This crop has grown very well in autumn thanks to strong N residues from previous crop and ideal climate conditions. It has then lost ~30% of its biomass during the cold winter.

Biomass beginning winter: 3,5 kg/m² – Biomass end winter: 2,5 kg/m²

+83 €/HA MARGIN INCREASE
